CG Trader Toy Design Competition

3D printing is coming to a home near you! I decided to take part in the action and design some simple toys for the CG Traders 3D Printed Toy Challenge which you can ready more about here.

Stack -A-Ring Desk Toy

Sliced Cylinder Jpg 001.jpg

Find the correct order to stack the rings into a cylinder or see how high you can stack the rings in any order without the stack falling!

Sphere Puzzle

Can you solve the riddle of the Cross Sphere puzzle?

Challenge your children by having them figure out what the correct steps are for inserting each rod into the sphere puzzle.

Sphere50

Sphere50 is a child's toy based on luck, which looks simple but has a deceptive characteristic.

Children roll the ball back and forth and hope for the sphere to land on one of the flat surfaces. The surfaces range from small to large and each have a point system:
Large Octagon - 5 Points
Medium Octagon - 10 Points
Small Octagon - 25 Points

The trickery is in that the bottom of the ball is heavier and may not allow the ball to stop on the flat surfaces.

TriPent Modular Toys

The TriPent Modular Toy is a great building block for children to construct unforeseeable geometric sculptures. The system consists of a triangle and pentagon which would boggle the minds of adults as well. The modules aggregate with a friction fit.
